A drip irrigation system delivers small amounts of water to the base of each plant using a drip emitter that comes off 1/2″ main lines. This saves water usage by not spreading it over a large unused areas. This system is completely customizable and can be used with both new and established plants.
Excess and pooling water can be problematic if it seeps into our homes and storage areas. But it can also cause problems by drowning planted areas and washing out patios and walkways. Solving these issues generally involves giving water a place to go where it can be more useful. This can be done using French drains, percolations tubes, and/or dry-wells, but each solution is site specific, and done after doing site percolation tests.
