A client was having poor luck in establishing trees that were planted in the front yard. Upon closer inspection the ground was found to be too compacted and rocky to allow for new root growth. In addition the trees were planted too low, which began to rot out the trunks.
Large diameter circular areas around each spot was rototilled, and amended with organic compost and loam. The soft soil would allow for better root growth. Three circles were made, two trees existing with a third to be planted in the spring.
