The disposal I am talking about is compost able items–brush, leaves, grass clippings, and food waste.
When cleaning a property, often times we dispose of brush and leaves offsite at a facility designed to chip the material and compost it. For some properties this is definitely necessary, just due to the size limitations of the yard. However if the property allows, composting on-site has great benefits:
Ensures that there will be rich fertile soil ready for use in your garden or landscape.
Wood chips can be used in areas or the yard for weed control.
Costs can be kept down by not trucking away items for disposal, and not having to bring in compost from another location.
Composting is not hard, and even small compost bins can make a difference down the road.
