This client’s home’s foundation had been built of large fieldstone. While a very sturdy material, the mortar between the stones had deteriorated over time. The old mortar needed to be removed, and replaced with new through a process called repointing.  This is necessary for all projects involving mortar, and will give old foundations added strength for many decades.
